Inspiration for the afternoon

In the Bible Paul had a limp, he walked with a cane and was continually reminded that he had this handicap.  This handicap kept him humble... it kept him looking to God for help.  If Paul didn't have that handicap would he have been the man he became?

In my experience, no matter what season I have been in in my life, I have always had a limp.  My limp has been infertility, grief, sickness, financial crisis, the unknown, and more.  But that limp is what brought me to my knees - without it would there have been a reason to get down on my knees and pray?  Of course there IS a reason, but would I of???

We may always have a limp to bring us to our knees... but the question is what will we allow that limp to do for us?  Hopefully we will allow it to bring us closer to God!
