Ok... I am going to start off by saying I am frustrated! I just had a bad shopping experience; which it was actually a GREAT shopping experience until the last store - so here are my details.
Fred Meyers ::
I had Great savings here. Spent $24.60 Saved $19.24
Some of the highlights were:
Schick Razors B1G1 + coupon for $4.00 off - Total was 12 razors for $2.00
Edge Shaving Cream Was on sale for $1.99 - Coupon for B1G1 - then a coupon for $5.00 off if you bought a Schick Hydro Razor which was 7.99 & Coupon for $1.00 off - Total here was 2 Edge 3 Razors for $3.00
Great Deals at Trader Joe's - my total was $29.21
I hit Target and got my girl a play shopping cart for discount price of $11 bucks! (not included in my grocery budget)
Natures :: Kiwi $1/4 I got 6 so my total was $1.50
WholeFoods ::
Now here is the frustrating part - Let me remind you that it takes me a few hours to plan my whole foods shopping trip. So I had my coupons, probably shopped 1 hour cause I am still new at this and it takes me a while. Sat down in the cafe and made sure I had all coupons - check.
The checker ran my entire groceries - and there were a lot. I think the total came to around $160 or so.. ouch right, but I wasn't too scared cause I was expecting LOTS of discounts. Well... the lady the checked me out said she was a manager and that I could only use 1 coupon per item. I have been doing this for 3 months now and I have always been allowed to do 1 manufacture coupon and 1 wholefoods coupon. She wouldn't do that. And I wasn't going to buy everything w/out that. So, she had to close her register, uncheck me... take everything out of the bags, I had to go through my coupons and go through the groceries I had just shopped for and re due it... grrrr... I am going to research this cause that is not the policy I have read about - making a call to cooperate tomorrow to figure it out!
Anyway - I spend $102.74 and saved (still) $27.49
Not quite what I had hoped for ... so frustrated!
My budget of $100 a week went out the window today.
Today's total: $158.05 Saved $46.73
Month to date is :: $270.04
