Day 44 of Bible in 365

I am not sure what to say about my reading tonight...  It amazes me on the ..umm... I guess the strictness the Israelites were living.  It is a good thing. But it just seemed like there was no room for error.  I mean, after all we are human.  It talked about an adulteress women, and if she did commit a sin with another man she had to go to the Lord and confess it, whether or not she confessed it, she had to drink this "water", now, if she was innocent nothing would happen, she would be blessed and everything would be fine.  BUT if she did not confess it then her stomach would swell, and her thighs would shrink and everyone would know she sinned...  I am not saying I don't think Adultery is bad, I do,  I am just thankful that Jesus gave us the option of Grace.  Not that grace is to be misused, but that when we honestly fail at following the Lord, Jesus gave us a way to forgiveness.  Same as the instructions to the Nazarene.  He is to be set apart to the Lord... BUT if he is just AROUND a person that just happens to die, he is now dirty and must do .. I don't know... stuff to become clean again... including shaving his head.  Wow...  I know I sound like a broken record, but I sure am thankful for the cross...
Through this journey of the first three books of the bible, We have seen how hard, fast, and powerful God can move... but the main thing for me, is how thankful I am more than ever in my life that Jesus died for our sins so we are no longer bound.

Can I get an AMEN!! :)
