I don't want to be Moses.... but at the same time what would it have been like to be on a Mountain that was consumed by a cloud (the cloud being God), alone, and have a one on one with God for 40 days and 40 nights? But then he also has the responsibility of all these people who SAY they are going to obey the Lords commands, they are NOT going to build altars to other god's, they will obey. Today was still a lot of do this and don't do that's, so the amount of my insight was limited ... unfortunately. I do know God has a reason for these things... just like the "Don't eat from the tree of life"... He doesn't always tell us the consequence of what would happen if we disobey, if he did do you think Adam and Eve would have STILL eatin the apple?? Probably. The enemy is so persuasive, he would tell us anything to get us to wonder off the "straight and narrow"!
I do know that reading through Exodus (I hope I make it through Numbers and Deuteronomy!) has reminded me of how grateful I am that we live in the time of Jesus Christ! I am so thankful that He came for us so we might not live by the ... LAW... in a sense but that we have a personal relationship with Him... What a special thing to have... I bet Moses would have loved that!
