cooking night

I guess this is a casualty of my husband working a lot of nights lately, but it is a casualty that he will NOT complain about.
Tonight after I put my little one to bed I put on my fancy new apron I got for mothers day, a Jane Austin movie and turned the ovens on!!
I made some yummy chocolate chip cookies from the from Decepively delicious that has a base of chickpeas.

I also made banana zucchini bread, and a peanut butter strawberry dessert!

I scored some great deals today shopping, one including organic strawberries! So I searched around on the net to find a yummy dessert for tomorrow using them. It sounds delicious. It has peanut butter and butter mixed with flour and the essentials for a base, then you spread strawberry preserve (I get to use mine that I made a few weeks ago) on and top with four cups of strawberries! Ill try to post a pic later.

So here I sit... finishing my movie, glass of wine consumed, about 15 mins left on my ovens, and yes... a kitchen to clean!!! But I love the smell, the feeling, and the joy I feel here in my apron!
