Trying a new recipe

The other day I turned on the tub for a few minutes while my girl slept and it was on a cooking show - the recipe looked DELICIOUS!  So here it is ... I am going to try it tonight I think.

Penne With Almond Sauce

1 lb Penne Pasta (season water with salt)
Cook Pasta in water as the directions on the box say - in the mean time do this.

2 cups slivered almonds
2 cups chicken broth
3 cloves of Garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
Blend for about 30 secs in the blender just to chop up the almonds

Pour sauce in skillet
Add
3/4 cups heavy cream
S&P
1 zest of a lemon
2 cooking chicken breast (diced) - I do not have any, so I am going to cook up some ground turkey and use that.  If you are a vegetarian, don't use any meat.
Frozen peas

When Pasta is done scoop it out and put into a bowl.  Mix with 1/2 the amount of Parmesan cheese (not sure exactly how much, she didn't specify, I just got a tub of shredded Parmesan and will use it) stir around with pasta.  Then add the sauce and the rest of the cheese, mix well.  Add 1 ladle full of the pasta water to your dish, and stir.  Then top with chopped fresh basil.

Looks wonderful, I can not wait to try it!
